Overwatch 2’s newest hero is Junker Queen
Overwatch has a brand new hero. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed Sunday that the Junker King will be arriving. Overwatch 2’s newest playable character when the hero-based shooter launches this October.
In a new trailer for Overwatch 2Junker Queen was in action. Junker Queen can use a shotgun to her primary weapon but also has the ability to pull out a two-handed large ax for close-range melee attacks. Junker Queen also seems to demonstrate two of her skills in the trailer: she can spin multiple axes with a dash attack and Junker Queen remembers throwing an ax through what looks like a magnetic glove.
Junker Queen’s design appears to line up with previous teases for the character seen in posters in Overwatch’s Junkertown map and in Wrecking Ball’s origin story video. Her mohawk is Mad Max inspired, her sartorial choices are Mad Max, and she clearly dislikes Omnics. Multiple faceplates are part of her armor, as is a salvaged arm that was taken from dead Omnics.
