One Piece Odyssey Is A New RPG Being Developed By The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Team

Its popularity and praise are not without merit. One PieceIt continues to provide a horrifying viewing experience due to its untold number of episodes. It’s good to know that games such as World Seeker and Pirate Warriors can quickly fill in the story gaps, or add side content for players who haven’t yet seen them. One Piece Odyssey joins the growing list of RPGs. This game is being developed by the same team that created Shining Pearl and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond last year. 

The One Piece Odyssey trailer (seen above) begins with a note of praise from legendary One Piece mangaka and One Piece Odyssey story writer Eiichiro Oda: “I thought to myself – wasn’t it like 3 years ago when I designed the characters [for Odyssey]?! Hahaha! But when I actually saw the game…Wow! It was like watching a MOVIE! Incredible immersion! And based on the scale of the gameworld – monster-riddled beaches, underground caverns, open seas – Odyssey might be the console adventure that readers and viewers have been waiting for. Luffy will still be the star and his group of strangely pirates will join him on this latest mission. 

Ilca, Inc. oversees the development of the RPG, and Tales of composer Motoi Skuraba contributes his musical talents. Expect plenty of party-member-specific abilities and boss fights. Also, there will be some interesting plot beats. It concludes with the dramatic statement, “Jump In, To a Time of Tears and Laughter.” Let’s journey to the heart and memories. This point in history should have never happened…”

That is a confusing concept. [Editor’s note: I’m caught up on the manga and also have no idea – JC]It’s not yet available, however, I think One Piece fans will be thrilled to learn when the RPG is released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2014.
