Octopath Traveler 2Each of the eight characters has the ability to pick up an item. Secondary jobYou can unlock more playstyles, gain additional skills and increase stats. Some job combinations are particularly strong, so you’ll want to make sure to unlock all the secondary jobs as soon as you can.

A secondary job is required to give a character an assignment.Work license, which you can nab from the respective job’s Guild. One character can initially be assigned to each secondary job. This means that if you made Temenos a secondary scholar, you can’t make anyone else a secondary scholar. You can however get as many job licenses as you need, which means you can allow up to 3 characters to have the same secondary job, provided you satisfy certain criteria.

You won’t unlock secondary jobs right away, as all of the guilds are located in areas that are danger level 30 or higher (or require you to cross through danger level 30 areas).

The guilds can also be found in the exact same area as the primary job. Castti can unlock the secondary job of an apothecary in Harborlands, while Castti is unlocked. Though there are quite a few maps between the two towns that these unlock, they’re in the same part of the map.

You will see a checkered banner icon on your radar when you’re in the same map as a guild, so you can just head towards that icon to find the guild.

Four secret jobs are available, however they work in a different way to regular secondary jobs. You will never see these secret jobs and only one license is available for them.

Secondary job for warriors

You will find the warrior guild in the dojo at Sai’s back.

ThiefLocation for secondary jobs

You will find the thief guild in Clockbank’s northern section. It has an entry under a path. There are thieves only in the area at night.

Secondary job for Hunter

The hunter guild is in the center-ish of Western Tropu’hopu Traverse to the north. To find the guildmaster, you’ll need to cross through a thicket of trees.

Location for secondary Cleric job

You will find the cleric guild in a church located in Borderfall’s northeast, just across from a bridge. To the cleric’s altar, the entrance is located in the back.

Location for a secondary scholar job

This building is home to the scholar guild and it’s found in the northwest part of Western Winterbloom Snows.

Secondary job as a pothecary

You will find the apothecary guild in Conning Creek.

Secondary job for merchant

On a rock in the Northern Crackridge Wilds, you will find the merchant guild.

Location for secondary jobs as a Dancer

The Wellgrove dancer guild can be found at the top of Wellgrove’s stairs.
