Octopath Traveler 2 EXP farming guide — how to level up faster
There isn’t a particularly “broken” method for farming EXP in Octopath Traveler 2There are ways to reduce the pain and discomfort associated with grinding.
To farm EXP, it is best to simply Fight enemies at the highest possible level you can access and manage. It is possible to swap lower-level characters with your party, while you have one or two high-level characters who carry the burden. However, if you do this, you’ll need to make sure that none of the characters you want to level are dead at the end of the fight because dead characters get no EXP.
Make sure you have the right equipmentAccessory with EXP increasing features Support skills. Thief has “Life in the Shadows,” which increases EXP and Job Point (JP) gains at night. Scholar has “Extra Experience” which boosts EXP after every battle. Also, you can wear an EXP AugmentorTo increase EXP gains, you can add an accessory.
You’ll also want to make sure to kill any Octopuff TravelersOder Caits You might come across when grinding. You will be rewarded with additional money, JP, or EXP if you kill these creatures before they escape. As physical damage can often be missed and magic is never far away, we recommend elemental damage.
Wearing a hat can help increase the chances that you will see Octopuff Travelers and Caits. Cait Powder An Octopuff Pot, respectively. You can steal an Octopuff Pot from an NPC in Conning Creek and find a Cait Powder in a chest in Tropu’hopu. Conning Creek is the city below where you unlock Castti and Tropu’hopu is the city to the east of where you unlock Ochette. The support skill Hunters have will help increase chances of finding rare monsters.
Use the Gambling Bewildering Grace strategy
You can also do the “Unbelievable Grace” RNG strategy using Partitio with the dancer secondary class.

The dancer skill Bewildering Grace costs 25 SP. It performs random actions and is available for purchase. This skill can be boosted to perform additional random actions within a single turn. For example, it can summon a monster that deals damage to enemies or kill members of your party.
But, luckier players might be the ones who see. EXP multipliers. It’s possible for your EXP to double or quintuple from the effects of Bewildering Grace, which is a huge payout, especially if you use it against, say, a boss enemy or a Cait. Extremely fortunate players can see huge rewards. 100x ExtraThis is enough EXP to enable the character to be set for the remainder of the game. Gear is important more than levels.
Particularly, Partitio can Use his latent power to maximize his BP before the battle beginsHe was able to Perform a fully-boosted Bewildering Grace within the first turn. With his merchant support skill, “All Power,” he will start the battle with a maxed out latent ability gauge. If you don’t get the EXP multiplier you want, you can try again on a later turn, but if you push your luck too much, the outcome might not be favorable (your party can literally explode and die).
You can equip the dancer support skill “Show goes on” (which will save you with 1 HP from a lethal attack) to help Partitio survive these explosions, but there’s no guarantee that you won’t just get hit again after.
That said, if you’re using this strategy, make sure to save often. Bewildering Grace is recommended for bosses who use this strategy. The battle can be restarted if there are any bad outcomes.
