Nintendo Unveils Two New Splatoon 3 Weapons And One Lets You Destroy Enemies With Surround Sound

Nintendo’s steady (ink) stream of Splatoon 3 news continues today with the unveiling of two new weapons: The Killer Wail 5.1 and the Big Bubbler.
Today, the company announced these weapons via Twitter. They also provided screenshots and descriptions. Killer Wail: 5.1 is first to be shown. It is a modified Killer Wail weapon that was featured in earlier games. This weapon is an homage to the traditional 5.1 surround sound setup. It typically sees one speaker and five standard speakers create a sound bubble.
Splatoon 3 however, allows the character to fire off an attack weapon that is similar to the Killer Wail original while six floating speakers can move around and attack their own.
These 6 megaphones can move independently and fire lasers at their enemies. Splatlands is brimming over with tech for such a remote area.

Today’s second weapon is the Big Bubbler. The Bubbler was a shield bubble protecting players from any damage. As the name suggests, The Big Bubbler offers a larger version of this protection. Unlike previous iterations, the Big Bubbler’s shielding bubble is stationary and surrounds a lot more than just a single player.
It was fixed and the dimensions have been significantly increased. It seems Inklings in the Splatlands think bigger is better. Well, this certainly does look useful for protecting one’s allies!
