Nintendo Indie World December 2021: The 10 biggest announcements

Nintendo’s latest Indie World stream is full of great news for fans of excellent games from independent developers. Nintendo announced a list of highly-respected releases and future Nintendo Switch games. The list includes such games as Chicory: An enchanting tale, Polygon’s No. 2. The game of the Year; Omori, Omocat’s colorful but dark indie role-playing game; and Sea of StarsNext game: The Messenger developer Sabotage Studio.

Four of the games showcased during Wednesday’s Indie World stream are coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop today: Dungeon Munchies, Let’s Play! Oink!, Chicory: An enchanting taleAnd Timelie. Switch owners also have the opportunity to preview one of these games. Creed Valley, Figment 2., thanks to a new demo released on the eShop.

Sea of Stars

Prequel to the side-scrolling action gaming game The Messenger, Sea of StarsThis is an isometric, role-playing video game featuring a similar retro aesthetic. It’s a classic 16-bit-style RPG with turn-based combat features music by composer Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2). Sea of StarsIt will be available for Nintendo Switch holiday 2022. It’s also coming to PC next year.

Omori

Omocat’s emotional and spooky role-playing game OmoriThis has led to comparisons with Earthbound Yume NikkiLast year,, was made available on PC. It’s now coming to Nintendo Switch in spring 2022.

Chicory: An enchanting tale

Team Chicory’s cute, colorful adventure of existential crisis, already available on PC and PlayStation platforms, makes its way to Nintendo Switch today. A magic-wielding puppy, starring Team Chicory. Chicory: An enchanting tale is one of the year’s best, as noted in Polygon’s games of the year list:

It’s rare to play a game where the central verb, painting, is also the emotional crux around which its themes and world revolve. Chicory has other verbs — exploring, talking, solving puzzles — but mostly, it’s a game about painting the entire world however you like, with utter abandon.

Endling: Extinction will last forever

It is destined to be an adventure of heartbreak. Endling: Extinction Is ForeverCasts actors in the role of a mother Fox, who must lead her cubs safely in an environment ravaged from human-induced climate changes. Creed Valley, Figment 2.

Bedtime Games’ isometric musical action-adventure Creed Valley, Figment 2.It will be available for players to try out in the Switch Shop today. Creed Valley, Figment 2.Solo and co-op plays will be featured.

Aliisha — The Oblivion of Twin Goddesses

Lisha and Aisha are twins who must collaborate by exchanging operating devices and clues during a trip deep into a temple puzzle-adventure adventure game Aliisha – The Oblivion of Twin Goddesses .
