Nintendo Direct February 2022: start time, how to watch, schedule

Nintendo Direct 2022’s first broadcast airs Wednesday, February 5, at 5 PM EST/2 pm PST. It will provide a 40 minute update about new Switch games that are due for release in the second half of 2019. The stream will live on YouTube and Polygon will provide updates as soon as possible.
In terms of what appearances, KirbyThe Forgotten LandThe launch of Nintendo Direct March 25, 2021, was first revealed by Nintendo Direct. Advance Wars1+2 Re-Boot CampThe release of a remaster for the 2003 and 2001 Game Boy Advance titles was also delayed. These titles seem certain to have been released this afternoon.
Elsewhere, we’re still waiting for launch dates on Bayonetta 3 And Splatoon 3, although if they’re not coming by the end of June, Nintendo may hold onto that news for later. The fans of Hollow Knight: Silksong It has been hanging on for what feels like forever. A rumor started in January that it would launch this year.
The Metroid fan base is also waiting to hear from Metroid Prime 4This was originally revealed at E3 2017 but has been radio silenced since Nintendo rebooted it and gave Retro Studios development control more than three decades ago.
There are also rumours about an upcoming event. Metroid Prime remaster (or a remaster trilogy of the first three games); scuttlebutt at the end of 2021 implied development had wrapped and a re-release was coming in 2022 — the 20th anniversary of Metroid Prime.
And, of course, we still do not have a name for the sequel to 2017’sThe Legend of Zelda – Breath of the Wild. But since we don’t have a launch date for it, either, it seems like Nintendo would save that announcement for a bigger event, or a time when it’s ready to give it a launch window.
Nintendo Directs can be difficult to predict and often throw up a few surprises. You can only find out for certain if you tune in to the channel and watch for yourself.
