Smite: Season 9 – The Dharmic Era
Shiva is the new God
The battleground of gods shakes under the feet of an awful dance, the Rudra Tadava’s opening steps.
Shiva the Destroyer joins SmiteAs the god who was first in Season 9, Shiva became one of the most popular gods of all time in February. Shiva, the third aspect of Brahman divine, visits both the righteous destruction of foes as well as blessed bliss for his allies. His ultimate ability displays the terrifying majesty and annihilating dancing that ends the cycle of life.
We’re so excited to bring Shiva to SmiteFinally, we are able to return to the Hindu pantheon as our first Hindu god in nearly five years. We’ve worked closely with Hindu consultants and specialists to ensure Shiva is presented faithfully and sensitively; in a way we hope all Hindus will be proud of.
You don’t have to wait until February to enter the Dharmic Era. Shiva’s impacts will be felt on the Conquest map from the Season 9’s start in late January. Check out the Conquest Map flythrough. His influence will add Hindu aesthetics to our core MOBA game mode, and bring a new gameplay feature: The Obelisk of Indra’s Scepter.
Slash: A New Style
Slash will be available as a free, new game mode in Season 9. Combine two of Smite’s most beloved game modes, Siege and Clash, Slash combines a summonable Juggernaut with nonstop 5v5 action. This new map, which is Maya- and Egyptian-inspired, can be experienced as soon as SmiteSeason 9 is due to launch in the next month. You can watch the Slash Map fly through here.

Paladins: Season 5 – Schism
New Mode: Siege: Beyond
In the meantime, in PaladinsThe champions are now able to enter an entirely new warfront using Siege: Beyond. This is an updated version of the traditional Siege. Evil Mojo Games plans to make this a dynamic game mode that evolves throughout the year. They also plan to introduce major changes to it. Paladins’ most popular game mode.
With the Season 5 update later in this month, Siege: Beyond’s first edition will include a brand new shop. This allows for more tactical options than classic Siege. And don’t worry, classic Siege lovers: Both Siege: Core and Siege: Beyond will be separately available modes.
A new champion
Each battle becomes more chaotic as the chaos that is sweeping across the land continues to escalate. It is time for order.
VII, the brass-masked eye of VII looks down upon the battlefield in a pitiless precision. He ruthlessly executes all the decisions of the Outer Tribunal. VII’s skillset is dynamic; his far-reaching grapple allows for devastating ambushes while his select-fire weapon lets him shift from automatic shots, burst fire, and mag-dumping, utilizing the best strategy for any who dare oppose him.
Abyss Hunter Academy Event Pass
While VII targets the enemies of the Outer Tribunal, other champions devote themselves to challenging the abyssal foes threatening the realm, protecting the innocent… and getting to class on time.
You can join them in their fight by purchasing the Abyss Hunt Academy Event Pass January. Get ready to school the demons and get the Class President Rei or Schoolyard Maeve Skins. We’re proud to announce that hit YouTube recording artist AmaLee wrote and recorded the theme song for this Event Pass, which you’ll be able to enjoy in-game.
Rogue Company: Year 1 is over, Year 2 begins
New Rogue: Glimpse
Glimpse drops into the battle area, an experiment in genetics gone rogue. She now uses the stolen Cloaking Tech she used to flee her creators. Glimpse swears that she will grant the shadowy foes their destruction.
Glimpse will arrive next week at Xbox as the final Year 1 rogue. If you own the Year 1 Pass, you already own Glimpse, so don’t forget to log in and try her out!
Project Saint
Project Saint, an initiative that focuses on new play experiences and quality-of-life improvement in Year 1, will be launched with the final update. Rogue Company.
You’ve seen the first steps of this in our Season 4: Umbra Update, with the introduction of an all-new matchmaker for better quality games and the release of the Battle Zone game mode. First Watch Games intends to keep on this track. Rogue CompanyEach update makes the experience better. The team is already working on features like Human Backfill to replace leavers, and a rework to the Interaction system – no more repairing your armor when you want to pick up a teammate!
New Map: Meltdown
Glimpse’s experience with secretive facilities conducting dubious experiments comes at the perfect time: An AI research lab has managed to get its self-destruct sequence tied to the eruption of Earth’s dormant volcanoes, and Jackal just started the countdown.
The hot spot of this area is Rogue Company’s newest map, Meltdown, coming with the Year 2: Season 1 update in February. Dive in, prevent global catastrophe, and teach some mad scientists not to plug a machine god into the world’s lava.
