New Lies Of P Update Includes Various Changes To Make The Game Easier

The new Lies of P Update is now live for PlayStation and Steam. It includes several improvements to the standard enemies, bosses and items that will make it easier. Although the Xbox version of the update has not been released yet, publisher Neowiz states that it “has been sent to Microsoft for testing” and they will update the Xbox versions as soon as the are ready. 

This month, Lies of P was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It’s one of our favorite games of the year – read about why in Game Informer Lies of P review here – but it’s a tough soulslike that kicked our butts more than once. Update 1.2.0.0, released today, should help make Krat easier to save. 

What’s new in Update 1.2.0.0 for Lies of P? 

Balance Changes 

• Reduced HP for certain field monsters
• Staggering and breaking the stance of some monsters is more likely.
• Field monsters now have a longer staggerable time window
• All 3 Dimensional Butterflies have lower HP.

Added rewards to some monsters

• Moonstones are now dropping more frequently.
• Reduced drop rate for Star Fragments
• Ergo item drop rates increased
• “Ergo Rewards for certain Monsters after Lorenzini Arcade have been increased”

The Boss monster Balance changes

• Reduced HP for ‘Fallen archbishop Andreus
• Reduced HP in the King of Puppets phase
• The HP of “Simon Manus: Arm of God” has been reduced.
• Reduced damage from ‘Simon Manus: Awakened God
• “Increased chance of breaking the stance ‘Simon Manus Awakened God.’
• The Specter now has increased HP and Damage

System changes related to Character progression reset

• The ‘Gold Coin Tree” now has the option to reset the level of the character, the P-Organ and the Legion Arms.
• Gold Coin Fruits for Characters Created after the patch are now 8 instead of 5.
• Resetting the Character’s Level, P-Organs, and Legion arms requires a certain amount of gold coin.

Other Changes

• The players will be able carry more for every point they spend on capacity
• Amulets are now available in a reduced weight with Boss Ergo
• The players will be better able to perform attacks when using fable art that takes up three slots or more. This includes Fable Arts, which can stack.
• The monster will no longer be able to tense up if you successfully perform the Fable Art Guard Parry.

The Lies of P’s Update 1.2.0.0 includes a number of bug fixes. 

• Fixes a bug where the Legion Arm “Pandemonium II” – Acid Charge would not work properly.
• The Legion Arm ‘Pandemonium’ now consumes only Legion gauge when using Grindstones
• Fix for a bug where Geppetto’s face would flicker after defeating ‘Nameless Puppet’ with Graphics Quality Presets Low
• Fixing a typographical error in the credits. We apologize for the typographical error.
