MultiVersus season 1 release date delayed, says WB Games

MultiVersus, the Warner Bros. ensemble fighting game whose free, open beta began last week, will have its first season of content delayed to an unspecified later date, the game’s official Twitter account said Wednesday night.

Morty was also delayed due to the delays Rick and MortyPlayable character “Rick”, originally announced to launch on Aug. 9, the same day as season 1. Rick was also supposed to be joining the game at an unknown later time during the first season.

“We know this might be disappointing for some and want to assure our Community that we are dedicated to delivering new and exciting content that delights players,” Player First Games said on Twitter.

MultiVersus’ early access/beta period was supposed to last until Aug. 9. It launched July 26 with four characters unlocked free — Superman, Finn (from Adventure TimeGarnet, from Steven UniverseReindog, a brand new character exclusive to the game.

Treisteen additional characters are also featured, including Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny, and LeBron James. Space Jam: A New LegacyBy completing challenging tasks or by using, you can unlock a number of perks. MultiVersus’ in-game or premium currency, where they’re about $7 each.

MultiVersus’ open beta is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with cross-play and cross-progression support across all platforms.
