MTG’s The One Ring card has been found and graded one week after launch

One Ring, an original, unique card that is serialized. Magic: The GatheringThe card has been located. The proof comes from the PSA grading service, who posted an image Friday morning. The Wall Street Journal reported that while the card’s owner wishes to remain unidentified, multiple resellers have already offered millions of dollars to purchase it.

The Magic of the Word’s latest set of cards, titled The Lord of the Rings, Tales of Middle-earthIn coordination with Middle-earth Enterprises, a commemorative book was produced to honor the novels of J.R.R. Tolkien. The One Ring comes in many versions, some of which are perforated and meant to be torn up at the table. Publisher Wizards of the Coast created an original copy that was covered with gold foil, and had the Elvish Black Speech inscribed on it.

The promotion caused the price of Collector Booster Boxes to climb past $518 — nearly twice what similar products normally cost at launch.

“The One Ring in Tales of Middle-Earth reflects the ring’s unique role within The Lord of the Rings,” Wizards of the Coast said in a statement to Polygon. “Our team, along with our partners at Middle-earth Enterprises are thrilled to hear tale of a new Ring-bearer in possession of the unique serialized 1:1 The One Ring card and brought this part of the One Ring’s adventure to a close.”

A reseller in Spain offers more than $200,000 plus a vacation to Europe to the card holder if they accept the offer. A New York-based retailer called Dave & Adam’sThe card had been received, according to reports. Polygon has contacted the company to get more information.
