Monster Hunter Now, from Pokémon Go developer, gets a release date
Monster Hunter Now, the augmented reality take on Capcom’s hit monster-hunting series from Pokémon GoBoth companies have confirmed that Niantic’s launch will take place on the 14th of September.
The official iOS and Android app allows players to pre-register. Monster Hunter Now website; for their trouble, they’ll be rewarded with in-game bonuses that scale up according to the number of people who sign up. Everyone gets 3 paintballs and 10 potions if 500,000 sign up. Paintballs can be used to mark the monsters that you find on your journeys for later hunting at home. Niantic has struggled to find another vehicle as well suited to its brand of location-based gaming as Pokémon, despite launching games with such high-profile licenses as Harry Potter, Marvel, and the NBA. Recently released pet-sim PeridoTHas failed to impress, despite an attractive premise and impressive technology. Niantic announced, in June, that they were laying staff off, shutting down some games, concentrating their efforts on Pokémon Go.
