Minecraft Live 2023 The Recap

Minecraft Legends allowed us to fight with creepers and save the Overworld. And (for many, this was most important) we could have llamas as pets! The story isn’t over yet. Principal design director joined us at Minecraft Live to discuss how far Minecraft Legends has come as well as what’s coming up next.

In the first major update, released in August, we made some important changes and additions to the game, like custom campaigns and PvP, world waypoints, enhanced Banner View, improved pathfinding, and (my personal favorite – yes, you’re noticing a trend) petting animals. Heroes have also had the chance to test their skills in the Lost Legends, free challenges we’ve released every month, ranging from defeating waves of piglinsPlaying as a Llama

Craig also revealed some exciting new features that are coming in Minecraft Legends’ second major update, its biggest one yet. Heroes will be able jump into battles on a fearless mount, which can leap higher and swim faster than other horses. Heroes will also gain an ally: mysterious witches who have potions to fight against them. piglins! Speaking of piglets, they also have a few surprises to offer: clangerA very long and loud noise piglinAlongside the air… Slices piglinStructure that pushes your units with powerful gusts of air spore-filled back. Yes, it’s as fun (and gross) as it sounds!

Watch out for Lost Legends, which will be released in early and mid December. Also look forward to the update that is coming later this year.
