Microsoft Flight Simulator Xbox controller up for pre-order Nov. 11

Turtle Beach was the first headset manufacturer to announce its entry into flight simulator markets in June. Now its newest controller — compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows 10 — is going up for pre-order. This $379.95 controller, called VelocityOne Universal flight Controller, will be made available at 12:00 pm. ET There’s a hard limit of two per customer.

Launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage in 2020, it has been difficult for consumers to obtain new controllers. One good option for Xbox is the Thrustmaster T.Flight, a traditional stick-and-throttle set-up that’s great for smaller planes. Many of the larger aircraft are not. Simulator for Flight sport a yoke. Honeycomb and Thrustmaster have both created new products. However, neither company has yet to bring an Xbox-compatible yoke on the market.

Turtle Beach’s offering has excellent provenance. The engineering work is being performed by Saitek, who made the venerable X-52/X-56 platforms. This presentation was given at the annual FSExpo. Logitech acquired the company in 2016. According to the official description, the device will have Hall effect sensors, optical encoders and stainless steel parts, as well an integrated multifunction display panel, status lights, and status indicators. This should allow you to fly without the need for a keyboard. Note that there’s no official word yet on when it will start shipping.

Microsoft Flight SimulatorThe site is alive and well with steady updates that include more details about locations and the introduction of a new helicopter. A new multiplayer mode will be added to the Reno air race module. This mod will allow you to fly World War II-era planes like the P-51 Mustang.
