Announced today earlier on the Microsoft BlogUnity selected Azure to be its cloud partner in order to build and operate real-time 3D experiences (RT3D), using the Unity engine. Unity provides creators with easy access to RT3D simulators and the ability create digital twins real-world locations and objects. It offers creators an easy way to produce RT3D resources for both games and non-gaming environments.
“Our commitment to creators is something we share with our longtime partner, Unity, a global leader in real-time 3D technology,” notes CVP of Game Creator Experiences and Ecosystem at Microsoft Sarah Bond. “ We’re also committed to expanding the creation and distribution of 3D content, to bringing relevant tools and technologies to a wider range of developers, and to making it easier than ever to bring games to players.”
