Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Here’s How To Get Into The Early Access Betas

Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard have revealed that Call of Duty: Next, a “franchise showcase,” will be broadcast next month, revealing the future of the series. 

More specifically, it will air on Sept. 15 and will “feature robust information drops detailing innovations, live gameplay, and a whole lot more,” including the following: 

  • Call of Duty’s futureCall of Duty: Modern Warfare II information, Call of Duty: Warzone info, Call of Duty: Warzone mobile app (also called Project Aurora).
  • Modern Warfare II: The multiplayer show
  • Many popular Call of Duty streamers are playing the games live in real time.
  • “Additional information and surprises” 

Infinity Ward also announced its plans to provide early access for Modern Warfare II through pre-order betas and open betas. 

Here’s How To Get Into The Early Access Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II Betas

  • PlayStation Early AccessPre-order your game on PlayStation 5 (or PlayStation 4) to get a code for the beta. The code will be valid from Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. PST to Sept. 20 at 20 p.m. PT.
  • PlayStation Open BetaThis beta will run between 10 a.m. PST, Sept. 18 to 20. It will be available to all PlayStation 4 players without regard to preorder status. 

The second beta weekend is available for all platforms and PC and will include crossplay. 

  • Xbox One and PC Early Access: Anyone who preorders the game on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or PC (via Blizzard Battle.net or Steam) can play in the beta that runs from 10 a.m. PT, Sept. 22, to Sept. 26. 
  • Xbox and PC Open BetaThis beta is open to everyone, Xbox or PC, without pre-order. It will last from Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. to Sept. 26 at 11 p.m. PT.
  • PlayStation Open BetaThis beta will be available to all PS5/PS4 owners regardless of preorder status. The beta runs from 10 a.m. to Sept. 26, at PT. 

“This Modern Warfare beta is set to feature a robust multiplayer experience going beyond the core 6v6 experience with a variety of meticulously designed maps of various sizes, and an equally impressive set of Modes, Progression experiences, and other aspects that will be more thoroughly revealed at Call of Duty: Next.”
