Metroid Fusion Hits Nintendo Switch Online Next Week

Nintendo announced that Nintendo Switch Online+ Expansion Pack subscribers have the ability to play Metroid Fusion after the game’s addition to the NSO Library on March 8.

After surprise releasing Metroid Prime Remastered last month, Metroid fans have another game from the series’ history to play through, this time in the Game Boy Advance game first released in 2002. Fusion with NSO will make it possible for players to finally enjoy Samus Aran’s 2D Series journey on Nintendo Switch. It includes the original Metroid, Metroid Fusion, 2021’s Metroid Dread and the final Metroid Fusion.

You can see the Metroid Fusion Nintendo Switch Online Trailer below, which announces the new news.

Metroid Fusion is a game in which Samus Aran, an interstellar bounty hunter, is attacked by an X parasite as she explores the mysterious planet SR388.” Nintendo describes the game. “This organism is not only deadly, but it can mimic the abilities of any creature it infects – including Samus herself! The X parasite is brought back to life by Metroid genetics, which she discovers has been transferred to SR388. Samus is weak and without options. She must take all necessary steps to stop the X threat from spreading before it becomes too late.

Nintendo states that Metroid Fusion is “a wealth of secrets” and can be used to link Super Metroid with Metroid Dread.
