Meet The Rival Factions Of Saints Row

Kevin, the Saints’ unassuming, fun-loving fighter and perpetually shirtless, was a member of a group called The Idols. The faction is more like a cult than a traditional organisation. Bright neon colors and glowing paints make it easy to spot the Idols, who can be seen from far away. You’d be hard pressed to find them at a desert rave. Because of the popular nature of the group, its follower count is massive, making the sheer number of Idols a standout feature of the faction. Idols are known for attacking in large groups, often in small, swarm-like formations.

In the mission “Idol Threat”, we learned that firefights between a bunch of neon-baddies could last quite a while. You may think that you are in control, but a swarm of gun-toating ravers is always at your back. Certain Idols are equipped with unique weapons that require The Boss’ to come up with different ways to eliminate them. A pair of LED whips is one of them. They can be spun right in front of you and deflect any gunfire. Although it’s frustrating to have to deal with, that’s part of the point.
