Game of Thrones should just be a dragon simulator game

Sometimes, the best ideas come out of experimenting throughout the process. Such is the case with Fouad Torriss’ Wyvern SimulatorThe following is a list. It started out as an exercise in creating a controller that could be used to control a non-human creature, but it evolved into a spectacular simulator that lets you play as a dragon. After many requests, Torriss released a demo.

There are many terrifying dragons, and other scary creatures. Cool WIP, Polygon’s weekly roundup of eye-catching clips, and screenshots of works in progress. The Polygon team searches the web for interesting new games every week to bring you an overview of some of the most exciting projects.

We have this week a pet simulator that allows you to take care of bugs. It also includes a sleeping giant panda and a narrative adventure, which reminds of JRPGs of old.

Wyvern Simulator lets you tame dragons, and allow you to play as them

Wyvern SimulatorYou can glide around the globe as a dragon. Developer Fouad Torriss posted a clipA wyvern, a type of dragon that has a distinctive diamond-shaped tail tip and runs through the desert. It’s not a fully fleshed out game, but the animation of the beast’s body undulating as it runs really brings the creature to life. Bugaboo Pocket

The game is very buggy. This is not a bug. It’s literally filled with insects.Bugaboo PocketThis is a pet simulation that allows you to care for bugs. The developers posted a short video showing how you can care for your bugs and decorate their homes. I’m not going to lie, I’m not really a bug person, but these are some dang cute critters. Bugaboo Pocket is currently being made by a team of four developers, and you can follow their progress on the game’s Twitter account here

RainboySeallliogames’ bright, cheerful platformer where you take on the role of a human rainbow. The game’s main character meets a giant panda while he sleeps in the forest. When you touch the panda’s fur, floating hearts explode out and the character exclaims its fluffy nature. Who doesn’t love a good panda snuggle? Rainboy doesn’t have a release date yet, but is listed as coming “soon” on Steam You can follow updates on the developer’s Twitter account in the meantime.

Reintroduce double-web swings Spider-Man

Gibb0 developer will remake a Spider-Man Unity game. They posted this tweet: clip of Spider-Man doingDouble web swing: The hero is using both of his arms to shoot the webs. The clip isn’t for any licensed game and is very early in development, but is impressively smooth for a fan-made project There’s no release date for this work, but you can keep up with their work on their Twitter account.

This narrative adventure combines Minecraft with JRPG style old school in this story.

Sev has been developing her interactivity fiction game as a part-time job while attending university. But don’t be fooled; her game, DelphiniumIt is far more detailed than your average side project. It combines a Minecraft-esque world design with old-school JRPG-style pixelated graphics. It is easy to recognize the style thanks to the bright golden light that surrounds it. This style was recently popularized by she posted a clip that gave a brief look at the game’s fishing system Sev hasn’t announced a release date yet, but you can follow the development process closely on her Twitter account.
