May Updates for the Xbox App on PC
Earlier this week, we revealed that PC Game Pass has now been made available in forty new countries. Also, the Asus ROG Ally allows you to carry the vast Game Pass collection with you anywhere you go. Finally, PC Game Pass Friend Referral is a new program which lets you invite your friends so you can play together. You can find Friend Referral invitations on the Game Pass Home screen in the Xbox App on PC, just click the “Give PC Game Pass” button to share with up to 5 friends.
Now, we’re excited to share the latest Xbox app update to improve your PC gaming experience. Let’s explore the new features and improvements.
Find new and improved games faster with the updated Game Card Filtering System, New Collections, and Updated Game Cards

We’ve updated game cards throughout the app to give you more information and convenience. Now, you can see the game’s title along with contextual metadata like publisher, pricing, HowLongToBeat time, coming to Game Pass date, leaving Game Pass date for those games leaving soon, and more! As you navigate through games, all of this information will appear. With new options for filtering and sorting your games and libraries, we have made it even easier to do so. We’ve added accessibility features, ratings of the game, and a HowLongToBeat sorting option. So you can find your favorite games and also discover others that are similar to them.
We have a new collection of games that you can play to discover new ones. Want to play what’s currently popular in your region? Trending Collection. We’re also bringing you new collections powered by HowLongToBeat. You will soon see collections such as “Take a game break”, which highlights games that take less than 5 hours to complete, or “Clear your schedule”, which introduces a collection of games which will require more time to complete.
New Accessibility Options & Menu

Unifying accessibility settings is another important update that will enhance your gaming experience on PC. In the new centralized location, you are able to modify your accessibility settings. This includes enabling and disabling background images, as well as customizing how to search for games based on accessibility features. All these options, along with PC gaming related settings can be managed in one convenient location. Watch this video to find out more.
The At-a Glance Social

Now, you can keep your friends list, chat, and party windows up even while you’re in game! If you have two desktops, simply drag these windows onto the desktop that’s not in a full-screen game and continue to stay updated with your friends, all at-a-glance.
You can now see all of your friends online at a glance in an organized list. It is available at any moment and you can even put it on your desktop so that you are always ready to play multiplayer games with the people who matter most. Click on a friend’s name to start chatting.
We’ve made it easier than ever to discover and add new friends directly from the friends list. See everyone you’ve recently played with on one click or link your Steam account to bring your friends into the Xbox ecosystem to play together.
