Master the Art of Escape in Escape Academy with Game Pass Later This Year

Hey y’all, I’m Wyatt Bushnell, co-founder of Coin Crew Games, the company that just revealed Escape Academy Super-duper Fun /[email protected]Gaming Showcase Gaming Showcase! Escape AcademyThis is a puzzle-based co-operative escape room.

You probably haven’t heard of us, and that’s because Coin Crew Games hasn’t always made video games. Our first games were arcade and escape room games. We were fortunate to be between projects when the pandemic struck. We decided to change our minds and turn our home-based learnings into an online game. It is now Escape Academy.

Escape AcademyPlay as the Escapist, an enrolled student at the school. Solve puzzles. Get to know the faculty. Make the perfect cup! The game features over a dozen hand-crafted rooms and is entirely playable in single-player or co-op with a friend – local or online!

Escape AcademyOur ideal escape room: It brings together both the physical and wild aspects of escape rooms. We have a lot of experience in IRL games, so we were able to influence the design. How will players move about these spaces? Which props are they likely to be attracted to? What is the best way for two people to work together? Each room is designed to be solved as it would be in real life: using nothing but your noggin’.

We’re also super stoked with how the theme of Escape Academy came together, the “academy” concept has paid a ton of dividends for us creatively. We were able to tie together interesting escape rooms and quirky characters from different schools into one cohesive story. Additionally, I was watching a certain superhero school anime, so I’d be lying if I said that didn’t play a part in it.

It was difficult to transition from traditional games to digital, but Skybound Games and iam8bit were great partners. We were able to make our fun escape room concepts a reality thanks to their experience in both publishing and gaming.

We can’t wait to show you more Escape AcademyThis will be later in the year. We’re hard at work putting the finishing touches on the game, which will be escaping in 2022 day one with Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10. Thank you for reading.
