Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Final Booster Course Pass Wave Includes New Tracks, Racers, Music Player, And More

Nintendo revealed today that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6 is the final DLC wave for this uber popular kart racing game. It will go live on Monday, November 9th. The DLC includes eight courses including Mario Kart Wii Rainbow Road and three new racers. It also has a music player, new racers as well as other features. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s final DLC brings up the course count to 96. This is twice as many courses than the 48 in the base version. 

Nintendo also released the following course preview trailer to go along with today’s news. 

Wave 6 brings two more cups in the form of the Acorn Cup (and the Spiny Cup), which add together eight new courses. Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo 3DS and GameCube are all represented in these courses. You can expect to see the following in each game: 

Acorn Cup

• Rome Avanti (from Mario Kart Tour)
• DK Mountain, from Mario Kart Double Dash
• Daisy Circuit (from Mario Kart Wii).
• Pirahna Plant Cove (The new way to buy?)

Spiny Cup

• Madrid Drive from Mario Kart Tour
• Rosalina Ice World (from Mario Kart7)
• Bowser Castle (from Super Mario Kart).
• Rainbow Road from Mario Kart Wii 

Wave 6 features three new racers, Funky Kong who made his debut in Mario Kart Wii as well as Pauline from Mario Kart Tour and Peachette. Wave 6 also includes 16 new Mii Racing Suits. A Daisy Racing Suit is available by scanning any Daisy Amiibo. This final DLC also adds to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a Music Player, which lets you listen to the music of each track starting on November 9. 

The Booster Course Pass Wave 6 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the last wave of DLC. The game will be available on 9 November. It is available for only $24.99 if you become a Nintendo Switch Online+Expansion Pack member.
