Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 5 DLC Includes Brand New Course, Three Returning Characters

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will finish its six waves Booster Course Pass content before year-end. During the Nintendo Direct today, we received the first information on the Wave 5 Booster Pass DLC. This is expected to be released within the next few months.

Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass will include a brand-new bathroom themed course, Squeaky-Clean Sprint. It also includes three new characters. Petey Piranha, who made his debut in Mario Kart: Double Dash; Wiggler, who debuted in Mario Kart 7; and Kamek, who appears in Mario Kart Tour (and was a character in Mario Kart 64 before being replaced by Donkey Kong in the retail version) are all set to join the roster of playable racers in this wave of DLC. We don’t know which courses are included yet. The announcement trailer is below.

This summer, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster course Pass Wave 5 will be released. The Booster course pass is available as part of Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack or separately for $25.
