Magic: The Gathering and Smite Collide in New Season of Monsters

Magic: The Gathering’s legendary characters are crossing the Planes into the Battleground of the Gods with an all-new Crossover Event! Chandra Nalaar Pele and Jace Beleren Yu Huang are among the many mana channels. Liliana Vess nu Wa is another! But that’s not all we’ve got for you from the other side of the blind eternities – there will also be a host of other new cosmetics and quests, including loot that all players can earn for free. These encounters will make the Battleground even more dangerous and exciting for the Gods.

The arrival of Magic: The Gathering is only one part of the new experience on the Battleground of the Gods; Surtr’s arrival brought Ragnarok-level destruction, obliterating Smite’s old conquest map and bringing about an all-new map with the Season of Monsters. You will find new towers and a larger map. There are roaming monster camps and many more treasures and challenges. A new Fire Giant will be available to battle!

Season of Monsters, the first of four Seasons that will be added to Smite. Four Seasons will exist in Smite Year 10 with major updates. Each Season includes a new god, Conquest map art modifications and new objectives, new battle passes, and new gameplay features. Season of Monsters will be the first Season. It includes two updates. The first one introduces Surtr, and the Year 10 Conquest Map. We’ll release a more detailed roadmap giving an overview of the new Season Structure later this year!

With all of the destruction evident in the Conquest Map’s new version, it is now possible to look at the culprit: Surtr, Fire Giant. Surtr is tired of the constant death of gods and has now turned his attention to the gods. Fistful of flaming imps and massive AOE strikes, Surtr will be a glowing meteor. These tools combine to create a new Warrior who is a formidable force to be reckoned.

We have the Boss Monsters Battle Pass, which is a brand new Battle Pass that contains amazing new skins. These skins are for Kukulkan (Cernunnos), Arachne and all other characters inspired by classic final boss encounters from RPGs. Players can also earn rewards by completing the Boss Monsters Battle Pass free track!

Season of Monsters includes a variety of item changes and new shards. There are also class bonuses. You’ve never seen SMITE like this before… make sure to jump in and try out the new Season!
