Lost Soul Aside Reintroduces Itself In New Gameplay Trailer

Since its reveal in 2016, Lost Soul Aside has been one of the most promising and mysterious projects on the horizon. The game’s upcoming action video has made its debut today, showing its style and fast combat.

Lost Soul Aside was originally conceived by Yang Bing, a Chinese developer. With its 2016 proof-of concept trailer, which featured a triple-A presentation and Devil May Cry-inspired action that impressed everyone, Sony purchased the project for a PS4 third party exclusive. Bing has now joined Ultizero Games, a team of full-time developers. Last year, Sony revealed that Lost Soul Aside would also be coming to PS5. Kazar (the adventure hero) and his formshifting dragon companion are transformed into various weapons by Kazar.

Despite being officially announced for years, today’s video is billed as an “announcement trailer” presumably reintroducing the game to newcomers while reminding everyone else that it still, in fact, exists. The gameplay looks as polished as it ever has, though sadly, we still have no idea when we’ll get to play it.

PlayStation 5 will get Lost Soul Aside. Be sure also to check out our related series on video games in development hell.
