Lost Epic Exits Steam Early Access And Heads To PlayStation In July
2D Action RPG Lost Epic will graduate from Steam Early Access, and go 1.0 this July. The launch also brings the game to PlayStation platforms, marking the game’s first appearance on consoles.
Lost Epic launched as an Early Access title in June 2021. The game combines Metroidvania-style exploration and Souls-inspired, fast-paced combat with a lively anime presentation. Players control a God Slayer on a quest to defeat a pantheon of divine gods threatening humanity. The hack ‘n slash combat encourages thoughtful combo-building and utilization of a parry mechanic to slay Lost Epic’s challenging enemies. God Slayers can be customized thanks to the extensive skill tree. You also have the option to craft enchantments or other items that will enhance your weaponry. The campaign can be fought online with your friends, in three-player co-op. Watch the trailer for Lost Epic below.
An update for Early Access, Ver 1.3.0 is available. This version adds a brand new world, the Abyss. This patch adds new bosses and the Eyes of God item used to uncover additional unseen paths leading to the game’s final world. The video can be viewed below.
Lost Epic is given a new world, the Sky Spire. This new world contains an intimidating raid boss that can be tackled alone or with allies. The Regalia blade and staff are now available for players to use, as well new weapon enhancement materials. Lastly, characters from developer Team Earth Wars’ previous title, Earth’s Dawn, will become playable.
The final Lost Epic version will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 28, as well as on PC. At launch, the developer plans to raise the price. The new price isn’t listed, but Lost Epic is $19.99 on Steam (though it’s currently discounted to $14.99 until May 27). That means you’ll want to grab it on PC now if you think the game is up your alley.
