Like A Dragon: Ishin! updates the PS3 game for PS4, PS5

Sony Interactive Entertainment is publishing a remaking with Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the developer. Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!Now, it is called Ishin Like A DragonFor PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, click here. Sony announced that the Yakuza spinoff would be available in February 2023 during its September State of Play presentation.

Trailer for Ishin Like A Dragon The setting is perfect for the game’s remade remake, which will now be made available for players from other countries for the first-time since its release in 2014. The game is set Japan’s Bakumatsu period, focusing largely on a samurai looking for revenge before “spark[ing] the greatest revolution in Japanese history,” according to the trailer.

Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! Original release was February 22, 2014 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Since Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!’s release in 2014, the Yakuza franchise it’s based off has become widely popular outside of Japan — and it makes sense to bring more games from its suite of titles into the current generation of consoles.
