Konami To Remove Crimesight From Steam – And Make It Unplayable

Crimesight, an online social deduction game, received a shocking update on the steam page. Despite being out for less than ten months, Konami is ending support for it — and making the game unplayable.

“Thank you for playing CRIMESIGHT,” the news post reads. “This service has continued to operate with the support of many users since its launch in April 2022, but due to various circumstances, we have decided to terminate the service on Monday, May 01, 2023 at 00:00 PDT.”

Many fans were surprised to learn that online games will eventually cease support. It is not just about the end for online games. At the end of the post, Konami writes, “Also, the game itself won’t be able to play.” As a result, recent Steam reviews have a score of “Mostly Negative,” as players warn future buyers from purchasing a product that will soon be unplayable.

Crimesight, a social deduction multiplayer game that takes place in futuristic London is an example of a multi-player online multiplayer game. Moriarty’s group tries to kill Sherlock, while Sherlock’s team tries to stop it from happening. Although it received positive reviews from those who did it, the game didn’t get much attention. It has received very few reviews from Metacritic, and it doesn’t have any stats on SteamDB that track concurrent players, so it seems that Konami had “various reasons” to cancel it.

It’s available to you until February, but you can only buy it until it ceases to work in May. You might also like to play a social deduction game called Among Us.
