Knives Out’s Rian Johnson is making a mystery-a-week detective show

Poker Face, starring Natasha Lyonne (Russian dollThe parade, which features A-list stars such as Ron Perlman and Adrian Brody, has received the first teaser trailer. It already looks like a delight. Peacock will air the series on January 26.

Poker Face follows Lyonne as Charlie, a detective with “an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying.” Armed with that uncanny talent, Charlie hits the road to solve crimes, giving the show the perfect excuse for its classic TV style mystery-a-week format. On her journey, Lyonne meets celebrities guest stars, who may be either victims or suspects.

Johnson created, wrote, and directed the series, with Lyonne onboard as an executive producer as well as the series’ star. Poker FaceThis series is scheduled for a 10 episode run. The first four episodes will air Jan. 26, when the series debuts, while the remainder of the series will air on Thursdays.
