Justin Roiland Resigns From High On Life Dev Squanch Games Following Domestic Abuse Charges
Justin Roiland has resigned as Squanch Games CEO following allegations of domestic abuse.
Yesterday, the High On Life twitter account announced that Roiland resigned from the studio. Squanch claims it will continue to develop games that our fans love, while supporting and improving High On Life.
The official statement was made just hours later. Rick and Morty Twitter account posted a statement revealing that Adult Swim has ended its association with Roiland. However, Rick and Morty The current crew and talent are currently working on Season 7 and will continue.
Roiland, who was their voiceover for the characters in the title of the show, will be replacing them.
All of this comes after news broke on January 12 that Roiland had been charged with domestic violence charges in Orange County, California, in relation to an alleged 2020 incident. These charges stem from Jane Doe, who was “in a relationship with the defendant.”
