The project was soon in the middle of a legal competition. According to The Hollywood Reporter’s story, streamers including Netflix, Hulu, Apple, and Hulu were also competing for the rights. Finaly, the show was landed at Amazon Prime Video. Timm, Abrams, as well as Reeves, will get at least two seasons.
Of course, this isn’t Matt Reeves’ only outstanding Batman project. The director of 2022’s Batman is also working on a sequel film that’s due out in 2025, as well as other shows for HBO Max, including The Penguin.
Amazon announced a host of new initiatives on Thursday, which include a complete expansion into the Creed Universe (and possibly the Rocky universe). The new Creed projects will be headed by Michael B. Jordan and could include spinoffs focused on Adonis Creed’s daughter Amara, or even an anime.
