Into the Breach expansion, iOS and Android versions get release dates

Strategy game BreachSubset Games, developer of the game, announced Thursday that it is expanding in many different ways. First in the form of a literal expansion — an Advanced Edition of the game is coming July 19, which will add new missions, new weapons, a new difficulty mode, seven new languages, and plenty of additional features as a free update for all current platforms.

Second, BreachThrough a partnership agreement with Netflix, the game is coming to iOS and Android. Netflix subscribers can now download it as part their Netflix subscription. Subset Games states that the game will look the same on all platforms. The interface has been redesigned and there will be no advertisements or in-app payments. Advanced Edition content will also be included. The Advanced Edition version will also be available on July 19.

The team then announced that BreachThrough a partnership between Fangamer and Nintendo Switch, a physical version of the game will arrive later this year.

No. 7 on the best 2018 games list BreachIt has been long a favourite of the Polygon staff. “Both in style and execution, Breach has a lot in common with the Advance Wars series,” Cass Marshall wrote back in 2018. “But it goes a step beyond its puzzle/strategy game contemporary by incorporating a brilliant time-traveling mechanic.”
