How long to beat Forspoken? Full Forspoken play time and chapter list

BespokenMy expectations were not met. Prior to the game’s release, Bespoken co-director Takashi Terada suggested that it would take 30–40 hours to complete the game’s story, but that was not my experience.

My review noted that I was able to complete the story as well as a substantial (but not exhaustive) amount of side content within 16 hours. For context, the level I reached at the end of this game was 48. Ash Parrish completed the main story at Polygon’s sister site The Verge in 17 hours.

Spend more time there. Bespoken if you wanted, especially since the game allows you to continue after the credits roll with new Detours, the game’s nomenclature for side quests. If your goal is to see the story through, however, this rundown should give you a sense of how far along you are to seeing the end of Frey’s journey in Athia.

It is important to remember that not all chapters are equal. The shortest takes around 30 minutes and the longest can take multiple hours. The chapters moved faster towards the end of the game, particularly Chapter 10, where there was a less complicated area and lasted longer.

These are the details Bespoken’s 12 story chapters and one postgame chapter, which the game helpfully collates and summarizes for you in its Archive menu as you progress through the story.
