Horizon Forbidden West’s new DLC, Burning ShoresThe Game Awards presented the announcement of. In the trailer, Aloy flies over the sea, on the back of a Sunwing — the rideable, pterodactyl-like machine. After passing landmarks like the Griffith Observatory, Capitol Records Building and other Los Angeles landmarks, Aloy zooms past the Hollywood Sign, which is a hint at what will be a major expansion in Los Angeles.

The enormous, open-world game’s best highlights, beyond action-packed machine fights, involved exploring and poking around recognizable cities. Aloy restores power to the neon lights of Las Vegas — complete with futuristic holograms — and runs through the rubble of post-climate-catastrophe San Francisco. The famous Ferry Building can be seen underwater. Side quests include scaling a massive, leaning skyscraper (perhaps The Millennium Tower).
Aloy would welcome an expansion to allow her to make her way through Los Angeles. This is in line with the theme. In the trailer, we’ve only seen the Hollywood sign get destroyed so far, but maybe Aloy will scale a palm tree, find an old In-N-Out Burger, or help revive Arclight theaters? These things are possible because I am here. It’s all a thought.
