All you needDaedalian Key LocationsIn Hogwarts LegacyThis takes you to the castle’s entirety and some obscure locations. This results in a brand new and stylish outfit, as well activating nearly all of the major fast travel points at Hogwarts.

Even if you don’t fancy the robes, completing as much of the Daedalian Keys quest as you can early in the game is worth the bother, as it unlocks several Floo Network fast travel points and saves trekking across the entire castle later on.

You’ll need to learn Alohomora to access the last set of keys, which means tracking down Demiguise statue locations to add this new spell to your repertoire.

How do you start the quest for Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy

The side quest “The Daedalian Keys” becomes available after you complete “Welcome to Hogsmeade” and return to your dormitory for the night. Nellie Oggspire can be reached in the Astronomy Section’s Transfiguration Courtyard.

You will be able to track down the Daedalian Key and learn how to open the cabinets. It is difficult to identify the keys.Except for the small, golden streaks of light that they may leave behind while moving, it is not noticeable.

If you can, Listen to it with headphones on, or turn the volume up., as they keys make an audible rustling and jingling sound that lets you know when you’re close to one.

When you locate a key, approach it. The key will then fly toward the cabinet waiting for you to approach. Most cabinets are near where the key was loitering, but we’ve included their locations below as well to help you find them faster.

Interact with the cabinet to start a minigame where you need to press the prompted button at the right moment — when the key is crossing over the keyhole. The game will count it as a hit if you push the button with the key in the middle circle surrounding the keyhole.

After taking the first house key to your common room, you’re on your own. The game won’t track where to find the remaining keys for you.

The other keys can be found in any order after you start the quest. However, the story progress is not affected by the last three.

Daedalian Key for Defense Against the Dark Arts

To find the first key, go downstairs from the Defense Against the Dark Arts class and enter the main lobby. Fly around the huge skeleton to find your key.

Take a left at Floo Flames and continue straight up until you reach cabinet.

Bell Tower DaedalianKey

Starting at the Bell Tower Courtyard, face the Floo Flames and turn left. Follow the staircase to the right and go through the door. Climb the next flight of stairs, and you’ll see the key flying around.

The cabinet can be found in the corner of the top, just past the wooden crate.

Dungeons Daedalian Key

Turn around and go back to where you entered the Central Hall. Go down the flight stairs instead of climbing the staircase. You will reach the dungeons by this route. You’ll pass the cabinet on a landing. Continue down another flight of stairs, and after a few moments, you’ll run across the key near a sculpture of a sleeping dragon.

Second Dungeons Daedalian key

Continue moving ahead along the hallway opposite the dragon statue, and you’ll run across the next key. You will find the key in an open space with barrels.

Potions Class Daedalian key

Travel to the Library Annex location, or if you haven’t unlocked that yet, go to the Central Hall instead. Face the enormous statue, then turn right, and again. You will enter a dimly lit hallway that is lined with cauldrons. This is where the key will fly around and you’ll probably forget it.

To find the cabinet, follow the stairs down.

Entrance Hall DaedalianKey

The next key is located in the Entrance hall. It is possible to get there fast by beginning at Grand Staircase. Once you have gotten off, take a left at Reception Hall. You can fly around on the top landing of the stairs.

You will find a lock and the boar statue near it. Follow the staircase to reach its cabinet.

There’s another key near the giant crest in the center of the room as well.

Great Hall Daedalian key

Go through the other set of giant doors in the Reception Hall, and you’ll wind up in the Great Hall.

You will find another Daedalian Key to your right, just near the fireplace. This one’s cabinet is up a short flight of stairs on the other side of the Floo Flames point.

Central Hall DaedalianKey

Turn left and walk down the steps to the large, green doors leading you into the Greenhouses. Near all of the paintings, the key can be found in the corner to your right.

Near the number puzzle door, the cabinet can be found on the opposite end of the hall.

Grand Staircase Daedalian key

Start climbing upwards from the Grand Staircase Floo Flame. After a few landings, you’ll run across the next key just before the landing with the number puzzle door.

It is located near the reception, just below the House Point Hourglasses landing.

Library Daedalian key

To find another key, head into the library.

This one’s cabinet is at the other end of the library, behind a flight of stairs.

Viaduct Entrance DaedalianKey

While you’re in the Central Hall, head up the stairs toward the Viaduct Entrance. You will find the Daedalian Key under a staircase.

Take the flight of stairs in front of the door to the Viaduct Courtyard, and you’ll see the cabinet to your right, sitting next to a painting of a man with a feathered cap.

Quad Courtyard Daedalian Key – How to Access the Quad Courtyard

Getting to the Quad Courtyard is a nuisance unless you’ve been there before. It is easiest to start at the Viaduct Courtyard Flam Flame. Turn right to climb the next set. There is a staircase left of you and a railing with stone on your right. Follow the stone railing, and you’ll end up in the Quad Courtyard.

After you have reached the top, take a left turn and climb the stairs to the right. The key is hidden under an archway.

Return to the middle of the courtyard. Turn your back to the Floo Flames and continue forward. Turn right at the back of the courtyard, and you’ll see a door. To the right is the cabinet.

That’s all the Keys that are available out in the open. But, there might still be a few left…

Is there a place to find the three final Daedalian Keys

Two keys remain, one near the Hospital Wing and another in the Secret Rooms. These areas can only be reached by Alohomora.

Key for Faculty Tower Daedalian

Enter the Faculty Tower from the locked door — which you do naturally during The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament — and head up the staircase. Near the central part of the room, you will find the key.

It is located downstairs near the banister.

Key 2 for Faculty Tower Daedalian

Keep going up the stairs for two more flights until you arrive at a landing that has a gold statue. To your left is a hallway with clock cogs. You will find the key at the end.

You will find the cabinet in the atrium, near the statue and staircase.

Clock Tower Daedalian Key

The Clock Tower holds the last key. Go to the courtyard Floo Flame and open the door. Head up the stairs, and you’ll find the key at the far end of the room.

Continue up the steps until you reach a landing. To your left is the cabinet.
