Hideo Kojima Has Addressed The Blue Box Game Studios Abandoned Conspiracies

Hideo Kojima finally addresses the conspiracy theories surrounding him and Blue Box Game Studios’ Abandoned. It’s unsurprising that it is a bother for him. 

With a brief teaser, Abandoned was revealed back in 2021. It is a PlayStation 5 and PC game. Rumours began to swirl that Abandoned could be actually Silent Hill’s secretly under development game. But studio head Hasan Kahraman quickly shut them down on Twitter.

From there, the speculation train arrived at the idea that famed Metal Gear Solid developer Kojima was attached to the game. Some believed that Kojima actually was Kahraman on the basis that both their first names start with “H” and both their last names start with “K.” Plus, people thought Blue Box was meant to tie into BB from Death Stranding. Many theories were put forth to try to link Kojima with Abandoned. However, in the end it proved to be nothing. GameSpot has an excellent investigative report diving into how Kahraman might have been purposefully stirring this pot alongside evidence that Abandoned might not even be a real project in actual development). Blue Box has confirmed that Abandoned was not cancelled and remains in development as of April 2012. 

Kojima has not spoken out on the subject despite all of these reports. In a podcast episode, he clarified that he has now spoken out. The Brain StructureHe has now spoken out, calling the incident a nuisance. Video Games Chronicle. 

Kojima stated that users kept sending him pictures of the ‘Hasan’ in the episode. VGC. They still send me collages, deep fake images and dozens of them a day. It’s a real nuisance. [laughs].”

Kojima says that he has not spoken to Hasan and the game will be out soon. VGC reports. 

He can’t do much at this time, but people may be able to understand the game if he makes it available. 

And there you have it – if this speculation wasn’t cleared up for you before, it certainly must be now. 

It’s not something Kojima is working on. He was actually planning to make a video game about superheroes, but he ended up reworking it because it looked too much like Amazon Studios. The Boys Elle Fanning will appear in any project he has, however.Maleficent The Great, Daddy Daycare Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2: Murder Mystery). However, it’s not clear if they will be appearing in Death Stranding 2, Norman Reedus was revealed in May.
