HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 Set To Premiere In 2025

HBO’s The Last of UsIt was a great success to bring the critically-acclaimed, fan-favorite PlayStation game of Naughty Dog onto TV. Season 1’s premiere was HBO’s second largest debut since 2010. Its second episode, too, broke records. HBO announced the results of its survey roughly three weeks after it premiered the show. The Last of UsThe show would get a second series. Now, thanks to the new Deadline We know the movie will premiere in 2025 and begin filming next year.

Deadline This was revealed at an event in New York, when HBO’s Casey Bloys told the press that Season 2 would begin production next year and aim for a premiere date of 2025. Bloys only said that. However, Bloys did note that DeadlineCraig Mazin, the executive producer of the show and the co-creator, said earlier in this summer, before the strikes, that his team had been able get work done. He also revealed that the episode for the first season was written.

Mazin stated, “I think we did pretty well. Deadline. “[The Last of Us game co-creator Neil Druckmann]My conversation with my friend was a bit tense. [The Last of Us Part II co-writer Halley Gross] and Bo Shim, the new writer that was in our little tiny room with us – obviously not a mini room because we’re greenlit proper, we’re a real show, and because I hate that mini room stuff.”

Consider the first season The Last of Us covered the events of the first Last of Us game, including its Left Behind DLC, it’s clear Season 2 of the show will dive into The Last of Us Part II. The casting of Abby, Lev and other characters is still not known. This will likely wait until the strike between actors and writers ends.
