Halo Infinite: Forge Beta Passes 1 Million Creations 

The Winter Update introduced a variety of maps, modes and new features in November. Halo Infinite. The Forge Beta was one of the best additions. This powerful toolkit has been a fan favorite and Spartans have relied on it to express their creative side since its creation. Halo 3. We’re happy to announce that, as of January 2, more than 1 million creations have been forged! 

The December release of Forge Beta was followed by the introduction of Custom Game Browser. This allows players to connect and host custom matches including Forge creations. More than 8 million custom matches were played as of January 2nd, since Custom Game Browser’s launch. 

Four community Forge creations were featured in the Community Collection playlist earlier this month. It was one of the most popular. Halo Infinite playlist since the game’s launch. You can expect more community content to follow this playlist. So stay tuned!

The Absolution

• A map we previously showed off in our third issue of Forge Features, Absolution has some familiar aspects of a few different maps—from Halo 2’s Sanctuary to Halo 3’s Guardian, with that weathered, stone-based Forerunner aesthetic that defined the look of Delta Halo. 

Perilous

• Although this map is not an exact remake of Halo 2’s Lockout, many of its areas have elements that are familiar to the old classic and lend some comfort.

• Halo’s Damnation: Combat Evolved features a new layer of Banished paint, and an industrial look that has been beautifully reworked within a huge cavern.

• All hands have been summoned to battle stations on this stunning UNSC-ified spiritual remake of Halo 2’s Midship. 

We are continually amazed by the creativity and imagination of Halo’s community. Forge has many other plans, including a Mini Game mode and new budget categories for maps to support your creativity. We’re so excited to see what’s created next in Forge, and can’t wait to jump into Season 3: Echoes Within with you on March 7.
