GTA trilogy Definitive Edition remaster comparison videos released

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition comes to consoles and Windows PC on Nov. 11, and on the eve of the game’s release, the developer detailed big and small changes coming in the remaster.

In addition to enhanced visuals Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive EditionPlayers can look forward to updated controls including an a Grand Theft Auto 5Layout of the controller is inspired by other designs, as well as an updated radio station and weapon selection wheel. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas’ drive-by controls have also been improved in the Definitive Edition remaster, Rockstar says, which you can see in action in the video below.

Players will also get modern conveniences like updated minimaps — you can set waypoints in those classic games now — and the ability to “immediately” restart failed missions, all of which should make the Definitive Edition easier to play.

Rockstar further described the platform-specific and graphical enhancements in Rockstar. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition. Versions of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will provide 4K resolution with frames rates up to 60 fps. The PC version will also support Nvidia DLSS. While the Nintendo Switch version offers touchscreen controls for zooming, pans, menu control, as well as menu and camera controls.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive EditionThe game will have a digital release starting Nov. 11 at $59.99. The physical version of Grand Theft Auto III remastered for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is due Dec. 7.
