Grand Theft Auto V And GTA Online Come To PS5 And Xbox Series X/S This March

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on PlayStation 5 on March 15, after a slight delay in the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

New features are available for top-selling titles as a result of the move to faster hardware. GTA V and Online now boast resolutions up to 4K, HDR and ray tracing, improved textures and draw distances, and up to 60 frames per second gameplay. 3D Audio and DualSense Haptic Feedback are also available on the PS5 edition. The trailer is a visual representation of the features you can expect from this version. It was released at the PlayStation Showcase last year.

GTA Online’s PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be available as standalone games. Players will get the PS5 version for free during the initial three months. GTA Online’s improvements include the ability to skip the GTA V story mode prologue, a revamped tutorial, and the new Hao’s Special Works auto shop. Players can now choose from various vehicles that will benefit from the new hardware through the storefront.

The Career Builder gives first-time players a jump start. This allows them to instantly access one of the four business types (Biker/Executive, Nightclub Owner, Gunrunner). They’ll be given start-up cash to purchase a property, a high-end vehicle, and weapons. The Career Builder is available to existing players. They can also restart their characters at any time.

If you’re currently playing either game on PS4 and Xbox One, you can transfer your GTA story progress and GTA Online progression to these new versions via a one-time migration at launch.

GTA V Online and GTA V’s new-generation versions were initially scheduled for November, but they got delayed. Rockstar instead released the ill-fated Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition that month, an enhanced collection of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas. The collection was a great idea, but it suffered from technical and presentation issues. Rockstar spent several months working to resolve these problems, which included making all previous versions available on PC. We hope that these updated releases of GTA V or Online will not suffer the same fate.
