Gran Turismo 7 – Review In Progress

Gran Turismo 7: The latest entry in the long-running PlayStation Racing franchise is available on Friday. While I have been speeding through the content at the moment, I did not finish the entire game on time so it is still too early to make my final decision. Gran Turismo 7 has everything players want in a sim racer, according to what I have seen.

I was struck by how beautiful this game looked right away. Gran Turismo 7 looks amazing in racing games, even though it is visually stunning. Gran Turismo 7 also stands out among the genres like Forza Horizon 5. You will feel like you are driving at breakneck speeds as each vehicle and track is modelled meticulously. The beauty and craftsmanship of Polyphony Digital is evident at every corner.

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 takes place on closed tracks, unlike Forza Horizon 5. That means you won’t be exploring a vast, open world or launching yourself off ramps, but there is plenty of fun to be had. Gran Turismo 7 has a wide range of activities. You can compete in races that last several laps or complete special missions. It appeals to me as a collector, encouraging me to keep building as strong a collection of cars as possible.

Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec captivated me more than two decades ago and was perhaps the most-played game on my PlayStation 2. Although Gran Turismo 7 has not held my interest to this extent, it is beginning to take hold of me in my early stages. While Gran Turismo 3 took hours of my attention, this new game from Polyphony Digital is still stealing hours. I will only know when that happens, but it’s already great.
