Godzilla’s coming to Apple TV Plus in Monarch Legacy of Monsters series

Apple TV Plus is bringing Godzilla along with the Monsterverse for a series called Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The show’s first reveal arrived on Thursday with a brief description and a few images to tease its upcoming release.

Two siblings will be featured in the series, who have a connection with Monarch, the mystery monster-hunting group. Also, Army Officer Lee Shaw will appear, with his history of working with Monarch dating back more than 50 years. Shaw might be the most exciting part of the series (besides Godzilla and the monsters, of course) because he’ll be played by Kurt Russell in the modern scenes and Kurt’s son Wyatt Russell during the officer’s younger days. As for what exactly Shaw and the siblings will be doing, we’ll have to wait for the full show to find out.

The series is set in Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse, which first started with the release of 2014’s GodzillaContinue with. Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla King of Monsters” Godzilla vs. Kong. The next Monsterverse film, Godzilla x Kong : The New EmpireRelease date for’s upcoming film is scheduled to be March 2024.
