Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes introduces the player character — and it’s not who you think

A new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes reveals the game’s player character — and it’s notThe main protagonist is Fire Emblem 3 HousesThis is the base game for the musou spinoff. Players will play the silent mercenary Byleth instead. Shez, however, is a mercenary who appears smarter than Byleth.

Three Hopes for Fire Emblem WarriorsIt takes place within the same universe as Fire Emblem: Three HomesSimilar to the trailer, players can choose from three different paths. There are however some important differences. Three Hopes — for one, the characters now sport different hairstyles. Names for the different paths also differ slightly. The paths used for the main game are different than the ones that use the school in between battles. Three Hopes’ downtime seems to take place in a battlefield campground. It’s likely that this tells the story of one of the factions that Byleth didn’t side with in the main game. Is this a possible chance for a satisfying ending? Where no one gets killed and everybody works together to take down the big bad? It’s the end! Fire Emblem: FatesDLC did it. So why not?

It seems that Byleth is going to be fighting Shez on the opposite side, so the pair are bound to meet. Nintendo Switch will release the game on June 24, giving me ample time to mentally calculate if Byleth’s old character can be married to Dimitri or if this is a completely new character.
