Final Fantasy 16 Producer To Appear At The Game Awards As Release Date Speculation Ramps Up

Final Fantasy XVI’s trailers were released over the past year. It is expected to be on PlayStation 5 or PC next summer. However, a release date has yet to be determined. However, recent speculation has increased about a possible release date, with some predicting a FFXVI appearance next month at The Game Awards.

Today the official TGA Twitter accountWe were able to add fuel to the fire when we learned that Naoki Yoshida (FFXVI producer) will present the event this year. In addition, the show invites him to make a “very special live presentation.” Although it is not clear what this means, all indications point to FFXVI. Maybe he will be performing the game live or The Game Awards orchestra might perform an arrangement of the title. However, there are rumors that the FFXVI release day will finally be announced during The Game Awards.

FFXVI, however, was just recently rated in Brazil according to Video Games Chronicle. As expected, considering the game is set to be rated Mature here, the Sistema de Classificação Indicativa Brasileiro determined that FFXVI is “not recommended for children under 16” as a result of the game’s “sexual content, sensitive issues, and violence,” according to VGC. Technically, this rating doesn’t mean much. However, ratings often point to an earlier release. Square Enix has stated that FFXVI would be available in the summer 2023. SoonThis might just be a matter of relative importance. It could be out at the beginning of summer. But it might release in August. We will find out more over time.

Yoshida had said in April that FFXVI’s development was almost over, and it is possible that The Game Awards will be kicking off the game’s release ramp-up. In the meantime, watch the latest “Ambition” FFXVI trailer and then check out our interview with Yoshida about Eikons, boss fights, and when we’ll see more.
