Fall For Indies: Stardew Valley Follow-Up News And The First Launches Of November
No doubt about it now; change is in the air, and fall is in full force. Now it’s time for you to get inside. As we step into November, it’s not just the leftover Halloween candy we can’t wait to get our hands on. Recent news from one of the scene’s biggest developers has us feeling warm down to our toes, indies are getting a new stage, and on top of it all, we’re positively rolling in game releases.
Big News!
Fall is about transformation. But who knew Stardew Valley’s Eric Barone (AKA ConcernedApe) would feel so inspired when he released the first details of his sequel title? And that’s not all. Thunderful Games will be hosting its first digital showcase. Mark Hamill will host!

ConcernedApe’s Haunted Chocolatier
Taking the vibe of his well-known work and pouring it into a new mold, Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, revealed his next project – and it’s filled with chocolate, ghosts, and combat. “You can rest assured that I’m not ‘copying and pasting’ Stardew’s combat,” says Barone in a recent blog post. “On the contrary, almost everything in Haunted Chocolatier, including the combat, is completely coded (and drawn) from scratch.” The game is in early development and has no release date.

Thunderful World
Thunderful Publishing, the publisher and developer behind titles such as Lost in Random, is holding their first indie game showcase on November 10. Star WarsMark Hamill is the host. The virtual curtain goes up at 11 AM PT, and while we expect The Gunk to make an appearance, Thunderful promises “world premiere game reveals” as well.
You can get lost in the corn maze of releases.
Don’t worry – though there may be a ton of games coming in this first half of November, the list below can help you get through the labyrinth.

Short Circuits with Blaseball
PC
Blaseball has been a Siesta favorite since last summer. However, developers The Game Band have brought it back in a temporary, truncated form called Short Circuits. Starting today and running until November 14, Blaseball: Short Circuits features the game’s original 24 teams with new rosters playing in wildly different games over a series of mini-seasons.

Packing
Xbox One Switch, Xbox One PC
It’s a great title for anyone who wants to unwind and create order in the world. The puzzle-based game Unpacking will be available November 2. It requires you to take your belongings out of a box, and place them in a suitable location. This, combined with some environmental storytelling is quite meditative.

Tunche
Xbox Series X/S. Xbox One. Switch. PC.
Coming November 2, Tunche is a beat ’em up with up to four-player couch co-op and gorgeous, hand-drawn visuals. Pick one from five people and embark on an exciting side-scrolling, 2D adventure through Amazon. You will never see the same thing twice. You will need to be alert as there is a lot of stuff in the rainforest.

Demon Turf
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Demon Turf bills itself as “The 3D platformer with attitude.” Playing as Beebz – a demon who is considered young despite her being 1,000 years old – you’ll fight your way through the unique-looking Demon World in an attempt to wrestle the title of head honcho from the Demon King. Demon Turf will be released on November 4.

Repentance and the Binding Of Isaac
Xbox Series S/S, Xbox One and PC
Already out for PC, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is making its console debut on Microsoft’s platforms on November 4 and will come to PlayStation and Switch in the near future. The last expansion for Edmund McMillen’s hit roguelike will add new story elements, enemies, locations, and more. Picking the ultimate edition up on the Xbox will also net you all the game’s previous DLC content.

Help!
PC
Who’s ready to save some adorable dogs? The Rescue is Here! Comes to PC on November 4, you’ll get a chance to run a shelter for a pack of delightful pooches. Try to find them the perfect forever home by tending to each dog’s needs, upgrading the building for more space, and matching them with the right owner. The game’s purchase comes with its own benefits. 20 percent of sales profits will be donated to animal shelters. The Rescue! Switch is coming next year!

The Place Cards Go
Change to a PC
Managing to land two games on this list, The Game Band’s puzzle-laden Where Cards Fall will no longer be an Apple Arcade-exclusive title on November 4. This whimsical title will be available on Switch and PC. It is all about stacking and using your imagination and reflecting back on past memories. With an undeniably dreamy art style and pensive story, it’s hard to tell which of The Band Game’s titles will demand more attention this fall.

Let’s Build A Zoo
PC
Get ready to manage hundreds of monkeys and build up that concession stand because on November 5, Let’s Build A Zoo is coming to PC. The title, which is both a management simulation and a mad scientist’s dream, offers you the chance to grow your animal empire. Your zoo can be populated by either breeding or DNA splicing. You can do whatever you want to keep them coming back!

Airborne Kingdom
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Now soaring onto consoles November 9, Airborne Kingdom sets you high above the clouds where you’ll attempt to construct the best of all possible sky cities. This won’t be easy as you’ll need to keep a constant eye on your fuel supplies meet the population’s continuous needs, adventure through a mysterious landscape, and navigate politics with the realms on the ground.

Bright Memory: Unlimitable
PC
Despite seeing early footage of the game at an Xbox event last year, there is still no official word on Bright Memory: Infinite’s console release. However, the game is still set to release on PC November 11. Bright Memory: Infinite is an action-puzzle-FPS game with stunning graphics. It takes place in 2036 where the Supernatural Science Research Organization tries to unravel the mystery of a mysterious skybound phenomenon.
