Evil Dead: The Game – Meet The Survivors

In Evil Dead, playing as a survivor means you’re going to be taking on a ton of Deadites, regardless of what your favorite specializations or weapons are. While survivors are placed into basic buckets that dictate areas that they’re better at, you’re inevitably going to be doing plenty of shooting, stabbing, and decapitating as you move through a level. So don’t think that by playing support you’re going to be sitting in the back throwing heals and watching fear meters – every class is going to be in the thick of it. You can still choose to explore a range of archetypes, each one with their specific skills and capabilities.

The account level allows you to level these characters up, allowing for a greater roster. Each class also has an Ash Williams, which can be used at different stages in his war against the Deadites. While there’s no limit on how many of each class can be in a group, each individual character can only be in a group once, meaning you can’t build a group of 4 Cheryl Williams and her special healing skill. Let’s look at what these archetypes bring to the table.

The Leaders

Auras and close friendships are key to leaders. This may seem obvious, but it can be a problem if you want to survive. Some strategies require survivors to be split up in order for the leader or the other person to move quickly for the objectives. Leaders can be a great way to strengthen your group, including reducing damage and boosting damage. It’s easier to bring leaders, so grab one if your goal is to play a part in a team.

Warriors

The extra health of warriors allows them to engage in melee combat, which is a great way to keep their bodies healthy and give them some food. Axes, chainsaws and shovels are all great melee weapons for warriors. Warm abilities allow warriors to ride in Deadites with other Deadites to perform finishing moves and torment their bodies. Warrior perks can be activated if they engage in close combat. They may even grant temporary invulnerability or shields!

Hunter

Even though ammo may be more difficult than what you use to attack your foes, Hunters can do a lot with ranged weapons and skills. They can also hold more ammo, so once you’re done with the opening phases of the game and loaded up to tackle objectives, you won’t have to go hunting in houses for more. Hunters can also find better and more valuable loot. Even if you are caught quickly by the Demon, it is possible to locate some truly amazing gear.

Assists

You can use your support skills to keep your survivors alive, such as creating shields or gaining health. You get bonus consumables as well! If you’re looking to bring a guaranteed all-star to the team, pick Cheryl Williams, as her area-of-effect healing zone can turn the tide of matches in your favor in an immense fashion. She might be borderline superpowered. So grab some coca-colas, and get ready to rock out with your support. Keep in mind that Evil Dead: The Game’s supporters will be just as active in the looting, shooting and scooting action even though their primary focus is on saving everyone else alive.
