Dying Light 2 tips, tricks, and beginner’s guide
Dying Light 2It is an open-world, expansive game that offers many quests and challenges. You can find this in the Dying Light 2 beginner’s guide, we’ll help you get started parkouring and dropkicking zombies faster with tips and tricks we’ve learned from our many hours with the game.
Be patient
Dying Light 2 Do not hurry. Even after a lengthy introduction-slash-tutorial, you’ll be on rails for a while. And even when the city of Old Villedor opens up, you’ll be restricted by your level and too-low stamina, and you won’t have many activities to choose from.
Parkour is frenetic, but it’s not the only thing that makes the journey through a city so exciting. Dying Light 2It is more thoughtful. Mechanics like the paraglider or even a ranged weapon won’t be introduced for dozens of hours.
That’s all by design. It will make everything go more smoothly if you accept that fact and allow yourself to take it all in. Do some sightseeing and exploration of the area. Do some side quests. Help strangers. The game will take its time.
And above all else, get your stats up because …
Respect the recommendation level
Your character’s level reflects the XP you’ve earned toward parkour and combat skills, the activities around the city you’ve accomplished, and your overall progress. Considering that we beat the game at level 6 after about 50 hours, it’s safe to say that leveling up is slow. And it also means there’s a huge difference between level 1 and level 2. Your level affects the gear your scavenge or buy, so it’s a good gauge of how much damage you can take or deal out.

The upper left corner of the map shows the level that quests, other activities and enemies have. Treat that as a recommendation for your level when you tackle them — zombies at the same level as you will present a real challenge and can overwhelm you fast, so anything higher becomes deadly fast.
That said, parkour and hand-to-hand combat aren’t your only option for completing challenges because …
Stealth can always be an option
In a game so focused on leaping off tall buildings, graphically chopping off zombie heads, and just generally over-the-top action, it’s incredibly easy to forget that there’s a stealth mechanic in Living in the Light 2. Many hiding areas are available, with a 1-hit-kill mechanic for when you get close to someone. Stealthing through also lets you bypass a fight entirely if you just don’t want to get involved — in fact, stealth is required to get past some of the toughest enemies in the game who you basically can’tKill with your weapon.
Never forget that it’s possible to clear out zombie-infested areas completely via stealth takedowns — meaning that you don’t have to worry about how much damage your can deal or how long your stamina will last while swinging your weapon.
Speaking of stamina …
Your stamina must be increased first
Only two stats are yours to control: Stamina and Health. The gear that you choose to equip will determine everything else (more details below).
Aiden’s stamina determines how long he’s able to climb and hold on to ledges as well as how many times in a row he can swing his weapon.
To upgrade your Stamina (or Health), you’ll need to find Inhibitors. You’ll get them from main story quests and from completing activities around the map. You can increase your Stamina or Health for each three that you gather. For most of your games, Stamina will be more important than health. For every Heath level we increased, Stamina was leveled twice.
Leveling up is going to require a lot of Inhibitors, so …
Prioritize inhibitors over all other supplies
There’s a lot going on across Dying Light 2’s map. Side quests, safe areas, windmills and water towers are all available. You can see the potential rewards by hovering over the icons on the map.
Loot sourcesSimilar to Military Convoys, Dark HollowsPlease see the following: Forsaken StoresYou can get gear and materials for crafting. They’re useful one-stop shops, but you’re also going to be looting that stuff from basically everywhere.
Activities that give you rewards are far more important. Inhibitors (see above). These are some examples You can drop off your items by airdrop, GRE Quarantine BuildingsPlease see the following: GRE Anomalies They are more immediate and useful.
The clothes define class
As we mentioned, your Health and Stamina statistics are entirely within your control. Dying Light 2. Everything else is controlled by your Gear (clothing). Headware, Gloves, Chestpiece, Bracers, JoggersPlease see the following: SneakersEach has stat modifiers.
They fall under four main categories (but they can also be grouped into classes). Brawler, Medic, Ranger, And Tank.
- BrawlerGear focuses on melee weapons stamina and one-handed (1H), weapons.
- MedicParkour injuries and healing rates are reduced by using gear
- RangerThe gear emphasises stealth and ranged weaponry.
- TankGear reduces damage and is focused on 2-handed (2H), weapons.
Each gear type is classified by its rarity. You will find better gear with higher stats.
Only clothes can make Survivor Sense more sane
While gathering stuff — everything from crafting supplies to Inhibitors — you’re going to using your Survivor Sense constantly. Survivor Sense works like a mix of radar and X-ray vision, marking items for you to see on your HUD. You can start by Dying Light 2The range is approximately five feet and lasts about one second.
You can only improve your Survivor Sense by equipping new gear — especially Medic and Ranger gear. For stats, gear should be considered. Survivor Sense Duration Survivor Sense Range.
Don’t get attached to your weapons
Each weapon must be in Dying Light 2Has a durability. A weapon used to cut through the zombies can wear it down, until eventually, and inevitably, the weapon will break. And that’s fine. You’ll find and and buy a steady stream of new weapons of every variety (and ever-improving level/quality), so you’ll never find yourself unarmed. Use a weapon until it breaks, and then move on to something new — chances are you found a better weapon anyway.
When you have the option, remember to match your weapon to your gear — one-handed weapons with Brawler gear and two-handed weapons with Tank gear.
A mod can be installed on the shaft or tip of a weapon to increase its durability. Mods can be used to increase damage and effects for critical hits.
Get XP to unlock combat and parkour skills
Apart from the stats that you can improve with gear Dying Light 2Also, there is a Parkour and Combat skill tree. The Parkour skill trees will give you better ways of navigating the city.
By participating in these activities, you earn XP toward the skill trees. You can earn Combat XP by chopping down zombie heads, or jumping over rooftops to earn Parkour XP.
Speaking of parkour …
That jump is likely possible.
When you first start out, it’s hard to get a sense of Aiden’s jumping abilities. It will be difficult to judge if a gap is too large or too high. We say, “Go for it!” And you’ll probably make it — parkour and all of the rooftop navigation is such a fundamental part of Dying Light 2Your jumping skills are almost unimaginable, so it is only natural.
Given enough time, you’ll have a better sense of the distances. More importantly, you’ll also unlock Skills like Firm grip Wall RunThis will allow you to jump and climb better.
Changes in the Landscape are caused by Faction Structures
All throughout Dying Light 2, you’ll deal with two factions — the PeacekeepersAnd the Survivors. In each neighborhood, you’ll find a Facility — an Electric Station You can also call it a Water Tower — that, once completed, you’ll assign to one faction or the other.
A Facility can bring about changes in the area. The neighborhood is populated by members of the faction through the Faction Structures. Additional safe zones are created throughout the area.
Furthermore, every faction makes neighborhood improvements. An area can be assigned to the Survivors for Parkour Helpers, such as Ziplines or Airbags. Peacekeepers then install Traps or Weaponry that assist in combat.
The time of the day is important
Dying Light 2There is a 24-hour day and night cycle. The Infected Zombies try to avoid sunlight as much possible. They remain inside at all hours of the day and take over the streets at night. When you undertake a task, think about this. If you have to traverse the streets (or even the rooftops) for a long way, it’s better to travel during the daytime. If you’re heading inside a building, it’s safer to go at night when the zombies are outside.
That said, you do get a bonus for surviving the night when the game’s harder. This is the Night Time Bonus gives you extra XP for everything you accomplish while it’s dark out, so you will get rewarded for tackling tasks at night.
You can unlock metros when you see them
You’re going travel back and forth across the city a lot as you play Dying Light 2. Happily, there’s a fast travel system that will take you quickly from neighborhood to neighborhood.
Every district has its own unique character. MetroStation. Each Metro Station has an associated nighttime activity — basically a side quest that you have to start at night — where you’ll clear out any Infected and power up the station’s Backup Generators. When the Metro Station has been completed, it will be a convenient destination for fast travel that you can access whenever you wish.
