Dragon Ball: The Breakers Available Now

Dragon Ball The Breakers is the latest game to hit our Dragon Ball game catalog, and it’s one of the most unique right off the bat! Open beta was a fun experience that I enjoyed with many other participants. No matter if I was playing with friends online or using random matchmaking to play, there is nothing better than the feeling of successfully escaping the Raider and winning by destroying all Survivors.

With that being said, let’s talk about the game, and here are some tips using my experience from the open beta test!

As a Survivor, players have one ultimate goal — to escape! It doesn’t matter if you are trying to reset the timeline or using the smaller Escape Time Machine. If you can escape, that’s a win in our book.

Your Survivor can be equipped with different skills to help you escape. Use the floating device and the grappling hook to get you long distances. Distract the Raiders with a Solar Flare or smoke bomb. These tools and abilities will help you gain an edge in your field. You have many options. Explore them all and discover the one that suits you best.

Players can also be equipped with special Survivor Skins that feature iconic Dragon Ball characters — The Farmer, Bulma, and Oolong. Every Survivor Skin has its own skills. Oolong has the ability of hiding, Bulma is capable of distracting Raiders, Bulma uses her charm to draw them away, and Farmer can find items.

The unique feature of the Survivor Experience is your ability to attach Transpheres, which are special items that can be attached to your character. Transpheres can be described as special orbs with the soul and power of super soldiers. They temporarily allow Survivors to “Dragon Change” and borrow fan-favorite Dragon Ball characters’ powers to help escape from the Raider. Some skills include Goku’s Kamehameha, Vegeta’s Galick Gun, and Tien Shinhan’s Solar Flare.

Don’t be fooled, though. While powerful, the power of the Transphere is temporary, and it’s up to you to decide when it is the right time to use this trump card. These powers can be used to escape or to defend your Super Time Machine and your team.

You can’t escape alone! To survive, you can’t escape alone! To activate the Super Time Machine, your team must be seven strong during a match. Any team member who finds the Power Key can make it. To ensure that everyone is finding the Power Keys fast, it’s a good idea for the group to split up and keep the Raider away from the entire team. If you start to hear your character’s heartbeat, the Raider is nearby, so be sure to hide so they can’t find you.

To communicate, the Survivors may use fun and unique Dragon Ball characters stickers. You can gather all seven Dragon Balls to summon Shenron. This will make your team stronger. Once all the dragon balls have been collected you will be able to use a sticker on your teammates to summon Shenron. We’ve also seen the sticker of Krillin screaming for help used to call teammates over to resuscitate fallen comrades. Of course, it’s still up to them if they want to take the risk and save you! This character sticker allows you to use fun Dragon Ball expressions worldwide.

Collaborate with your team and utilize the unique abilities and tools to strategize for your escape from Raider.

While the Survivors try to work together for their escape, the Raider goes on the hunt to find and eliminate them! You can choose from Cell, Frieza and Majin Buu to be a Raider.

Every Raider can choose from four distinct evolutions. Cell is an “all-rounder type” with a fast growth speed and average search skills. Frieza excels in hunting and is an excellent scouter, making it difficult for Survivors hide. Majin Buu was recently revealed to be a “high-risk and high-return type,” where he has a slow start compared to the other two Raiders but offers an extremely rewarding and powerful experience once you reach his third and fourth form. New skills are available with each Raider evolution. This makes Raiders’ experience unique. Raiders do not have the ability to be powerful immediately. However, the game gives you more power for killing civilians and survivors.

It is difficult to find survivors when the map is so vast. Each Raider has their own abilities to help them scout. Frieza may use his scouter for finding the Survivors. Cell, however, will have to change into his 2nd form in order to use Ki Detection.

Here’s a fun tip: Raiders can pick up a Dragon Radar and use it to find Survivors because many of them will be holding Dragon Balls! This is a great opportunity for Raiders to get the Dragon Balls and become stronger, more resilient, or immortal. You would want to invincible. You might be surprised to learn that survivors can build enough power to do some serious damage. Don’t underestimate teamwork!

It doesn’t matter if you like working alongside your teammates and defeating an overwhelming powerful foe or if it is fun to be the one that wrecks havoc with others. Dragon Ball The BreakersEach match has something for everyone. There are many match types, which means that players can choose to take on different characters that suit their playstyles.

Your Survivor can be customized from its looks to its skill set to suit your needs. Do you want to feel overwhelming power? Take on the role of the Raider, and take out all survivors! Choose which path you want to take!
