Dordogne, a stunning watercolor adventure game, is out in June

DordogneA few years back, I was introduced to watercolor painting. Its art is an example of everything I love about the medium — the ethereal softness of the ink, the unwilling nature of water. I’ve followed its development on its developer livestreams, watching its artists build the French countryside out of paint. Now, several years after its development, Dordogne Has a release time.

Focus Entertainment, Umanimation, and Une je ne se sais quoi have announced that they will be releasing a new game on Tuesday. DordogneReleased on Nintendo Switch (June 13), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC through Steam.

DordogneThe game, set in rural France, combines 3D animated characters with watercolors. It’s centered around a woman named Mimi — she’s digging for her childhood memories, blending both her childhood and adult life. This stunning trailer was released by the studio on Tuesday.

At the heart of it all seems to be a mystery of Mimi’s blurred memories, something that’s sure to be untangled through the adventure.
