Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted Begins

The Leviathan is back. This may be the first time you have seen the legendary, planet-destroying personal pleasure craft Calus, exiled Cabal Emperor. For the rest of you who have been aboard before, we hope you have fond memories of its gleaming gold-plated halls, because this ship has come back… wrong. This ship is very, very wrong.

Season of the Haunted kicks off with the Derelict Leviathan entering our solar system and heading directly for Earth’s moon. As it grows near, the dormant Pyramid ship on the Moon’s surface begins to react to its presence.

Getting worried? This is Guardian’s hope.

Discover why Calus is returning to the Leviathan and the Pyramid Ship’s purpose, as well as the reasons for Calus leaving. You will also be confronted with Nightmares that are from the past. We highly advise staying close to your fireteam, not getting lost in the ship’s Underbelly, and focusing on positive thoughts about god-rolls and gleaming Opulent Chests.

Although this may be one the scariest Seasons, Destiny 2’s history, Guardians have faced off against literal gods before, so this shouldn’t be anything you can’t handle.

The Derelict Leviathan is open to everyone and includes many areas that are filled with loot, collectibles, Loyalist Cabal items, Scorn, Nightmares, Loyalist Cabal, Loyalist Cabal, Loyalist Cabal, Scorn, Nightmares, Loyalist Cabal, Loyalist Cabal, Scorn, Nightmares, Loyalist Cabal. Additionally, there are two new activities in Season of the Haunted—also aboard the Leviathan. Nightmare Containment is free to play all Season, while Sever is paid for and unlocks a whole bunch of awesome stuff. You will be able to seize Nightmares, and get Seasonal rewards no matter which activity you are involved in.

Nightmare Containment

Nightmare Containment, a new Seasonal activity that is completely open to the public, offers a free event for everyone. It’s also special in that it scales based on the number of people who participate. If they spot one in progress, players will have the ability to create a new event or join the Nightmare Containment. The Nightmare Containment is challenging in that it can be scaled up to summon Nightmare bosses and enemies.

Sever

Sever is what we’re calling the weekly mission in Season of the Haunted. This is where players will uncover more and more about Calus’s plan as the Season unfolds. This activity takes place on the Leviathan as well, however it is located in the Underbelly. Anyone familiar with this area of the ship will likely remember the navigation skills it demanded, now imagine that there’s also something in the dark with you.

The activity isn’t matchmade, but we don’t blame anyone who would rather bring a friend… or two.

Now, despite the Leviathan losing some of its luster, the rewards in Season of the Haunted are just as fancy as you’d expect. Perhaps even more!

• Exotics in New Form – Destiny 1’s Exotic Sidearm, Trespasser, known for its ability to fire Unrepentant rounds has been upgraded for Destiny 2 and has a new catalyst to attach. Like previous Seasonal Exotics you can get it by playing, or buy the Season Pass. You’ll be among the first to bring lightning into the game.
• Opulent weapons – Some of the most coveted weapons from Calus’s collection return and can be found in the Opulent Chests aboard the Leviathan. While in Rome.
• All-New Seasonal Armor and Weapons – New Nightmare-themed weapons and Seasonal armor sets for Guardians brave enough to go exploring on a mysterious planet-devouring vessel.
• The new universal ornaments – If you want to wear something that might scare your fireteam more than the enemies you’re fighting, it’s this. You can become the reaper of Nightmares by doing this.

Solar is the latest class to have its subclass completely redesigned in order to make use of the highly customizable Aspects and Fragments systems. This system was introduced in Beyond Light with Stasis and added to Void last season. It’s perfect timing as well, since my guess is that setting Nightmares on fire might actually be the best way to handle the situation.

It is available as a free upgrade to players. Every class comes with its own unique fantasy, along with lots of options for buildcrafting. I’m a Hunter for life personally, but I’d be lying if I said that Solar Warlock didn’t sound really cool. What is your favorite?

• TitanPowered by the fury and undying suns, siege engines It is necessary to confront them and set off the maelstrom which ends all things.
• HunterRadiant duelists that display uncanny dexterity, skill, and willful acts of devotion. Their aim is not always accurate. They can also molten their blade.
• WarlockThese priests of incandescence are to be your friend and help you get back on track. You can oppose them, and you will see annihilation in the rain of a broken dawn.

My favorite place in the world is boarding the Leviathan Destiny 2) to fight Nightmares using a fiery scythe and a new Solar 3.0 build might be the most perfect way I’ve ever thought to start playing Destiny 2.
